Daniel Wäppling is a Global Research Manager in ABB Corporate Research. He is in charge of competence development, strategic technology management, and project portfolio management in Mechanics and Robotics.  Daniel joined ABB in 1998 and has been serving as R&D Engineer, Project Manager, Robot Specialist, Principal  Scientist, Global System Architect, Senior Principal  Engineer, and Program Manager prior to his current position.
