Giovanni Lombardi received his degree in Aeronautical Engineering at University of Pisa in 1982. Professor since 1990 at the University of Pisa of “Airplanes Aerodynamics”, and “Experimental Aerodynamics” for several years. At the present is also professor of “Vehicles Aerodynamics”. He is responsible for the University of Pisa for the cooperation with Ferrari and the America’s Cup Team “Green Comm Challenge” in the aerodynamics field. He has more than 180 papers published, 40 on international Journal, several in the automotive aerodynamics, with a large use of numerical optimization techniques.
Speeches
Enrico Nobile will chair the Academic Roundtable that will see professors from distinguished universities around the world discussing forefront optimization-related research projects and applications. Participants can contribute with their views on the challenges of these research activities and cast a light on the skills and knowledge that future designers must-have.
